The economic crisis in Zimbabwe has lead to the escalation of precarious forms of work in all the sectors of the economy. Young people especially have been greatly affected by the lack of employment, deindustrialization and collapse of the economy which promoted casual, insecure and conditional forms of work, giving a chance for employers to abuse their employees. Therefore, the objective of this activity is to conscientise young Zimbabwean about their right to decent work. The participants of the FES Youth Leadership Training participants are organizing activities in the two biggest cities of Zimbabwe,Harare and Bulawayo. The activities will take the form of public lectures on Decent work. During the public lectures participants and panelists will address and discuss topic such as: • Decent work for the youth in Zimbabwe? • Harmonization of the Labour Law in Zimbabwe: What’s there to gain or lose for decent work? • Zimbabwe’s Employment Policy: it’s potential and challenges for the youth
