The Barbados Workers’ Union Youth Arm will be hosting a Pledge Rally for World Day for Decent Work. This rally will be held in Independence Square, Bridgetown on Wednesday 7th October, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will have speakers such as the Minister of Labour, the President of the Youth Arm, the President of the Private Sector, a Member of the Gender Committe of the BWU, etc.

The day will also include other youth groups, employers, our general membership and general public making pledges to decent work/decent life with the theme in mind ("Get the World to Work").

Our aim is for persons to make a pledge and commit to it and we will do that by checking with these persons in a few months to ensure they have lived up to what they pledged.

Good luck to all who is like the B.W.U. Youth Arm in trying to "Get the World to Work" and God’s continued blessings.
