FNV WDDW 7 October: Decent Work, “Gewoon Goed Werk” for vulnerable workers
A delegation of 50 FNV members and officials will board the train from Amsterdam to Paris to join the other European trade unions for the manifestation “Decent work and Decent pay”. They represent workers from sectors in the Netherlands with a decent work deficit: the cleaning sector, contract workers in food processing, self employed workers in construction, domestic workers, young workers in retail, workers in health care and others.
7 October WDDW marks the beginning of a campaign by FNV and affiliated unions to promote Decent work , Gewoon Goed Werk for all in the Netherlands, in Europe and internationally.
FNV president Agnes Jongerius meets the train in Rotterdam where she gives a press conference to explain the context and background of the WDDW of the international trade union movement.
FNV Mondiaal will distribute a photo booklet showing how FNV cooperates with trade unions all over the world to promote decent work.
FNV launches the website Gewoon Goed Werk 1000 opinion leaders and officials receive a call to join the kick off of the FNV campaign for "green light for Decent Work"
