Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro (UFTUM) printed out the brochures for the Decent Work Day, and distributed them throughout Montenegro.

Members of UFTUM Secretariat invited guests and media to the gathering at the `Crna Gora` Hotel at 12 o’clock. Secretary General, Mr Srdja Kekovic, announced that on every Decent Day, from now on, UFTUM would start a certain campaign towards the protection of workers in Montenegro. This year it will be the action to protect the Correctional Facility employees. Another message for this year is that salaries of the public sector employees need to be increased since these employees live by the very low standards. Some members of Secretariat addressed the media as well.

This was the first time UFTUM celebrated the Decent Work Day, and it is the event that UFTUM will continue to celebrate in the future.
