Today in Tallinn, EAKL organized a conference where vice-president of the Bank of Estonia, Gender Equality Commissioner, chairman of the board of the Center for Policy Studies PRAXIS and representatives of the EAKL discussed issues of the WDDW.

There were both public broadcasting company and private TV and radio channels present at the conference.

In addition to today conference EAKL had round tables in our regional offices in Paide (September 19), Viljandi (Sept 23) and Narva (October 1). Our regional meetings will also take place in Rakvere (Oct 12), Pärnu (Oct 15) and Tartu (Oct 20).

Seminars and press activities in different parts of the country, focusing on:

• New employment contract Bill being debated in Parliament - building public support for the parliament to respect the tripartite agreement on this Bill as already agreed;

• Campaign for fair wages, as inflation expected to exceed 10% and the economy expected to contract by 1% this year.
