On October 4, 2011 the conference “Decent work: global aim and its realization in Ukraine” was held in Kyiv within the framework of preparation to the World Day of Decent Work.

Event was organized by the National Tripartite Social and Economic Council under the President of Ukraine, Representative Office of International Labour Organisation in Ukraine, representative office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and Belarus.

During the conference Vasyl Khara, President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, Co-Chairman of the NTSEC of All-Ukrainian trade unions and its associations made a speech in the section № 1 “Implementation of Decent Work in Ukraine: the opinion of government and social partners”. Deputy Head of the FPU, Deputy Co-Chairman of the National Council of All-Ukrainian trade unions and its associations Grygorii Osovyy, Deputy Head of FPU Sergii Kondryuk, Head of social and economic department of FPU Viktor Ivankevych, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor Valentyn Matsiyashko will take part in the Section № 2 on the topic “Indicators of Decent Work and measure of its implementation by example of Ukraine”.

During the debate there will be discussed the following issues: “Review of indicators of measure of decent work”, “Practical application of indicators for measuring positive changes of decent work on the example of some sectors of the economy”, “Adequate earnings and productive employment”, “Safe work”, "Social security”, ”Social dialogue”.
