COSATU and Swaziland Unions Prepare Solidarity Actions

COSATU invites you to a Public Forum on

The Southern African Social Forum
The Swaziland Economic Justice Forum (SEJUF) and the Co-ordinating Assembly of NGOs (CANGO) supported by the Swaziland United Democratic Front (SUDF) and the Swazi trade union federations (SFTU and SFL) are hosting the Southern African Social forum to be held in Swaziland on the 16-18th October, 2008. In this regard, they have requested COSATU to host them for a live interaction with South African Civil society and media in Johannesburg regarding the coming regional event, to be held in Swaziland for the first time.

Amongst issues to be discussed include;
- Programme of the whole event and structure of discussions, commissions and thematic areas
-an update on logistical arrangements and confirmations of organisations that will be attending the forum
-an update on the security and immigration arrangements that have been made
-the Swaziland specific issues and programme that informs the Swaziland civil society approaches to the forum.

The delegation shall be made up of:
1. Vincent Ncongwane(SFL) – Secretary General, Swaziland Federation of Labour
2. Charles Khumalo – President, Swaziland Economic Justice Forum (SEJUF)
3. Thembinkosi Dlamini – Co-ordinating Assembly of NGOs (CANGO), Economist
4. Dumezweni Dlamini – Co-ordinator of the Foundation for Socio-economic Justice in Swaziland
